A delicate serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp hairlines, giving the letterforms a polished, engraved feel. Serifs are small and neatly bracketed, with tapered terminals that stay sharp at the ends of strokes. Uppercase proportions are stately and open, with round forms (C, O, G) drawn with smooth, controlled curves, while diagonals (V, W, X) come to fine points. The lowercase shows compact, text-oriented construction: a double-storey a, a two-storey g with a clear ear, and narrow joins that keep counters clean. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with graceful curves and fine finishing strokes.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as magazines, essays, and book interiors where a classic serif texture is desired. It also performs nicely for refined display use—chapter titles, pull quotes, cultural branding, and formal invitations—where its sharp hairlines and high-contrast elegance can be appreciated.

The overall tone is poised and traditional, leaning toward an editorial, bookish elegance rather than a utilitarian voice. The high-contrast rhythm and fine detailing suggest sophistication and a sense of heritage, suited to settings where refinement and clarity are both valued.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with elevated contrast and carefully finished details. It aims for a balanced mix of readability and sophistication, providing a polished typographic palette for both text and prominent titles.

In the text sample, the face maintains a steady vertical rhythm and even color at larger reading sizes, with the hairlines and thin serifs becoming a defining feature. The ampersand is formal and flowing, matching the calligraphic tension of the rest of the design.
