This typeface is a high-contrast serif with tapered, subtly flared terminals and bracketed serifs that give the strokes a gently sculpted, calligraphic feel. The capitals are tall and composed, with sharp apexes (notably in A and V forms) and clean, narrow interior joins that keep counters open despite the strong thick–thin pattern. Lowercase shows a relatively compact x-height with pronounced ascenders and descenders, producing an elegant vertical rhythm; curves are smooth and slightly tensioned, while joins and serifs stay crisp rather than blunt. Numerals follow the same contrast and serif treatment, reading firmly in text with clear differentiation between forms.

Well-suited to editorial typography, book and long-form reading, and other text-forward layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs convincingly in display settings—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—where its contrast and sculpted terminals can provide a polished, premium impression.

The overall tone is refined and traditional, with a distinctly literary, editorial presence. Its contrast and tapered endings convey a sense of polish and authority, leaning toward a classical, cultivated mood rather than casual or utilitarian voice.

The design appears aimed at delivering a classic serif reading experience with added sophistication from strong contrast and gently flared stroke endings. It balances traditional proportions with crisp detailing to communicate authority and elegance across text and display sizes.

Spacing appears balanced for continuous reading, and the letterforms maintain consistent contrast and serif behavior across uppercase, lowercase, and figures. The italic is not shown; the impression is driven by the upright roman with a measured, formal cadence.
