A robust serif with pronounced stroke modulation and generously rounded joins. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, often finishing in softened, ball-like terminals that give corners a cushioned feel rather than sharp edges. Counters are relatively open and shapes are wide-set, with sturdy verticals and swelling curves that create a confident, dark texture at text sizes. The lowercase shows a two-storey “a,” a compact “e” with a firm crossbar, a bulbous “g,” and oldstyle numerals that sit unevenly on the baseline, reinforcing a classic text rhythm.

Works well for editorial typography, book and magazine settings, and display use where a strong, classic serif voice is needed. The wide, dark forms and lively modulation also suit headlines, branding, and packaging that aim for heritage and credibility without looking overly rigid.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a slightly warm, bookish character. Its rounded terminals and swelling curves add friendliness to an otherwise formal, stately presence, making it feel suited to established institutions and editorial settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with extra presence and warmth—combining strong typographic authority with softened terminals and an oldstyle, literary flavor for comfortable reading and confident display.

Letterforms lean toward broad, stable silhouettes with a noticeable emphasis on curved weight buildup, especially in “S,” “C,” and “G.” The numerals appear oldstyle, contributing to a more literary, historically influenced texture in running text.
