A tightly drawn display serif with pronounced wedge-like serifs and flared stroke endings that create a carved, chiseled feel. The letterforms show strong thick–thin modulation with narrow joins and crisp, angular transitions, giving many strokes a faceted silhouette rather than smooth bracketing. Counters are relatively compact in rounds like O and e, while diagonals and interior cuts introduce pointed notches that heighten the sense of tension. Uppercase proportions read sturdy and formal, and the lowercase maintains a moderate x-height with energetic, sculpted details in terminals and joins.

Best suited for large-size typography such as headlines, magazine and newspaper titling, posters, and book covers where its sculptural contrast and wedge serifs can be appreciated. It can also work for bold branding marks and short callouts, but will generally be less comfortable for extended small-size reading due to its dense color and sharp internal cuts.

The overall tone is bold and theatrical, with a distinctly editorial confidence. Its sharp wedges and high-contrast rhythm evoke classic display typography with a slightly aggressive, poster-like punch, suited to attention-grabbing headlines and statements.

The design appears intended to deliver a commanding, high-impact serif voice by combining traditional proportions with exaggerated flares and wedge serifs. Its carved, faceted joins suggest a goal of adding drama and personality to classic editorial typography while maintaining a disciplined, upright structure.

The sculpted details can create dark clusters in dense settings, especially where sharp joins and compact counters meet (e.g., in combinations like rn, m, and s). Numerals follow the same wedge-and-flare logic, reading strongly at large sizes with a stylized, old-world character.
