A slanted, calligraphic serif with a narrow, quick rhythm and subtly uneven stroke edges that read like ink laid down on textured paper. Letterforms show moderate thick–thin movement and tapered terminals, with soft, rounded joins and occasional hooked entry/exit strokes. The texture is consistent across the set—more like rough printing or dry-brush drag than heavy grunge—keeping counters open and forms legible. Capitals carry gentle flourish and looped details, while lowercase maintains a compact, handwritten flow with slightly irregular widths and spacing.

Best suited to display and short-to-medium text where its ink texture can be appreciated—book covers, chapter openers, boutique packaging, café or apothecary-style branding, posters, and invitations. It can also work for pull quotes or headings in editorial layouts when a vintage, printed-by-hand feel is desired.

The overall tone feels old-world and personable, like a worn title page or handwritten label that has been reproduced through imperfect printing. The distressed edges add warmth and tactility, while the italic calligraphic structure keeps it refined enough for literary or craft-oriented themes. It lands between elegant and folksy, suggesting tradition, storytelling, and analog authenticity.

This design appears intended to evoke a traditional italic calligraphy model while adding a lightly worn, printed texture for character. The goal is a lively, human presence that feels crafted and slightly aged rather than perfectly typeset.

Numerals follow the same inked texture and italic posture, with simple, readable shapes and a few lightly decorative curves. The sample text shows the face holding together well in longer lines, with the distress remaining visible without overwhelming the letterforms.
