This serif typeface shows pronounced stroke modulation with sharp, tapered serifs and a distinctly calligraphic axis. Capitals are stately and wide-set with clean hairlines and confident vertical stems, while rounds (C, O, Q) keep smooth, controlled curves and generous interior space. Lowercase forms are compact and readable, with a two-storey a, a looped g, and a narrow f with a high crossbar; terminals tend to finish in pointed wedges rather than blunt cuts. Numerals follow the same modulated logic, mixing strong verticals with delicate hairline joins for a crisp, engraved look.

Well-suited to long-form editorial settings such as book interiors and magazine typography, especially where a classic, high-contrast serif is desired. It also fits formal display applications—chapter titles, pull quotes, cultural programs, and invitation-style materials—where its refined detailing can be shown at comfortable sizes.

The overall tone is poised and traditional, suggesting editorial seriousness and a cultivated, bookish character. Its sharp serifs and bright contrast add a sense of luxury and ceremony, making text feel deliberate and composed rather than casual.

The design intention reads as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances classical proportions with crisp, contemporary finishing. It appears built to deliver an elevated, literary voice with enough regularity and rhythm to support continuous reading.

Spacing and rhythm appear even in the text sample, with clear word shapes and open counters that help maintain clarity at larger text sizes. The italics are not shown; the roman’s sharp terminals and fine hairlines imply it will benefit from adequate size or print-quality rendering where delicate details can hold.
