A slanted serif with a calligraphic, oldstyle construction and gently bracketed serifs. Strokes show clear diagonal stress with modest thick–thin modulation, producing an elegant rhythm without becoming overly delicate. Counters are open and rounded, terminals often finish with a subtle curl or teardrop, and the overall texture reads smooth and continuous in paragraphs. Uppercase forms are slightly narrow and poised, while the lowercase includes characteristic italic shapes (single-storey a and g) and lively descenders.

Well-suited to book and editorial composition where an italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, or full passages. It also fits formal communication such as invitations, programs, and cultural branding where a classic serif italic can carry a refined tone while remaining readable at text sizes.

The tone feels traditional and bookish, with a polished, slightly romantic italic character. It suggests a cultured, editorial voice—confident and composed rather than playful or blunt. The slant and tapered details add a sense of motion and sophistication suitable for refined typography.

The design appears intended as a conventional serif italic with an emphasis on smooth reading flow and classical proportioning. Its moderate modulation and bracketed serifs aim to provide elegance and clarity in continuous text, while the expressive terminals supply a distinctly italic personality.

The numerals follow the same italic logic, with curved figures and finishing strokes that echo the letter terminals, helping numbers sit comfortably within text. Spacing appears even and readable in the sample, with a consistent baseline rhythm and clear differentiation between similarly shaped forms.
