A high-contrast serif with sharp, tapered stroke endings and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The serifs read as flared and wedge-like rather than blocky, giving joins and terminals a chiseled, calligraphic bite. Capitals are tall and stately with crisp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and clean, slightly tapered horizontals, while round letters (O, C, G, Q) show a smooth, controlled ellipse with fine hairline transitions. The lowercase keeps a moderate x-height with compact bowls and narrow apertures; details like the ear of g, the hooked j, and the compact s add a finely tooled, text-forward rhythm. Numerals follow the same contrast and tapering logic, with elegant curves and firm vertical emphasis.

Well-suited to magazine and newspaper display, book covers, pull quotes, and premium branding where elegance and contrast are desirable. It can also work for short blocks of text in print or high-resolution settings when set with adequate size and spacing to preserve the hairlines.

The overall tone is polished and classical, with a fashion/editorial seriousness and a slightly theatrical snap from the hairline contrast. It feels confident and high-end, projecting a traditional literary authority while remaining sharp enough for contemporary branding.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif proportions with a more sculpted, flared terminal treatment, aiming for an upscale voice that reads as both traditional and contemporary. Its contrast and crisp detailing suggest a focus on impactful display typography that still holds together in refined text settings.

In text, the strong vertical stress and thin connecting strokes create a lively page color that benefits from generous sizes and comfortable leading. The punctuation and curves appear crisp and well-defined, and the flared terminals keep the font from feeling overly cold despite the extreme contrast.
