A high‑contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. The letterforms are upright with a relatively narrow internal rhythm and a controlled, bookish texture, while still showing lively tapering at joins and terminals. Capitals are stately and well-proportioned, with sharp apexes (A, V, W) and confident vertical stress in rounded forms (O, C, G). Lowercase features a two‑storey a and g, compact bowls, and clean, decisive head serifs and feet that keep lines feeling orderly in text.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs strongly for headlines, pull quotes, and formal collateral where its contrast and sharp detailing can be showcased at larger sizes.

The font communicates a traditional, cultured tone—suited to serious reading and polished presentation. Its sharp contrast and sculpted details add a touch of sophistication and drama without becoming ornamental.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif tone with elevated refinement, balancing text-like regularity with enough contrast and terminal sharpness to hold attention in display settings.

In larger sizes the fine hairlines and pointed terminals become a defining feature, giving the face a slightly engraved, display-ready edge. The numerals follow the same contrast-driven construction, with clear, elegant figures that match the uppercase weight and presence.
