A sculpted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and flared, wedge-like terminals that give stems a chiselled, expanding finish. Serifs are sharply tapered and often triangular, with noticeable bracketing and a dynamic, calligraphic stress that reads clearly in both caps and lowercase. Curves (C, G, O, Q) are weighty and smooth, while joins and apertures are tightened for a dense, high-impact texture; the lowercase shows compact bowls and crisp entry/exit strokes. Numerals are similarly stylized, with strong contrast and distinctive angled terminals that keep them consistent with the letterforms.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, magazine and editorial layouts, and branding systems that want a strong, classic voice with dramatic contrast. It performs especially well at medium to large sizes where the tapered serifs and sculpted terminals can be appreciated, and can add a premium feel to packaging or event materials when used with generous spacing and clean supporting typography.

The overall tone is assertive and theatrical, balancing a traditional bookish heritage with a modern, fashion-forward edge. Its sharp serifs and dramatic modulation create a sense of luxury and authority, with a slightly edgy, poster-like bite in larger sizes.

The design appears intended to deliver a high-impact serif for contemporary editorial and brand use, combining traditional serif proportions with flared stroke endings to amplify presence and sophistication. Its exaggerated modulation and sharp terminals prioritize character and hierarchy, making it a natural choice for attention-setting typography.

In text settings the rhythm is punchy and high-contrast, producing a dark color and strong word shapes; the sharp terminals and narrow internal counters can make small sizes feel busy. The design’s distinctive flare at stroke ends gives headings a carved, display-like presence even when set in conventional copy.
