A compact blackletter with heavy, ink-rich strokes and sharply carved terminals. Forms are built from broken curves and pointed joins, with small wedge-like serifs and frequent diamond/teardrop counters that emphasize the vertical rhythm. Capitals are decorative but controlled, mixing broad bowls with hooked flourishes and tight interior spaces. Lowercase maintains a consistent, upright texture with narrow arches and split strokes, creating a dense, patterned color across lines. Numerals follow the same cut, faceted logic, staying sturdy and legible while retaining the angular styling.

Best suited to short, prominent settings such as headlines, mastheads, branding marks, and display typography where its dense texture can become a visual motif. It also fits invitations, certificates, labels, and themed packaging that call for heritage or gothic atmosphere. For paragraphs, larger sizes and generous leading help preserve clarity.

The overall tone feels medieval and ceremonial, with a dark, authoritative presence typical of historic manuscript and early print traditions. Its tight rhythm and sharp detailing add drama and gravitas, reading as traditional, formal, and slightly ominous when set in longer phrases.

The design appears intended to recreate a traditional blackletter voice with bold presence and crisp, chiseled detailing, balancing ornament with a consistent, repeatable texture for display use.

Spacing appears intentionally tight, producing a continuous “woven” texture where counters and interior notches become key to differentiation. The design relies on strong vertical emphasis, so letterforms read best when given adequate size and line spacing to keep internal details from closing in.
