A distressed serif with uneven, ink-worn edges and subtly broken contours that mimic rough printing. Strokes show moderate contrast with sturdy verticals and slightly irregular terminals, producing a blotty, textured rhythm across words. The forms stay largely upright and readable, with compact, typewriter-like proportions and small, bracketed serif hints that appear chipped or eroded. Counters and bowls are generally open but occasionally nicked, giving the texture presence without collapsing legibility at display sizes.

Well-suited to posters, title treatments, and cover design where a distressed, tactile voice is desired. It can also support branding for vintage-inspired products and events, especially when paired with clean supporting type. In longer passages it remains readable, but the surface texture is most effective when given enough size and contrast to show its character.

The overall tone feels vintage and gritty, like aged paper, stamped lettering, or pulled proofs from worn plates. Its irregularity adds tension and character, evoking pulp fiction, crime ephemera, and weathered signage rather than polished editorial typography.

The design appears intended to deliver an authentic worn-print impression—combining classic serif structure with deliberate edge breakdown to suggest age, abrasion, and imperfect reproduction. It prioritizes atmosphere and materiality while keeping letterforms familiar enough for straightforward reading.

Texture is consistent across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, creating a cohesive “worn ink” effect. Spacing reads fairly even in running text, while the rough outlines add visual noise that becomes more prominent as sizes get smaller.
