A flared, serifed display face with pronounced thick–thin modulation and softly swelling terminals that feel written rather than constructed. Strokes widen into wedge-like feet and beak-like entry strokes, and many joins have a gentle brush-pen curvature rather than sharp mechanical corners. Counters are generous and mostly rounded, while the silhouette stays sturdy and compact through the heavy main strokes. Uppercase forms are broad and slightly relaxed in structure, and the lowercase shows a smooth, continuous rhythm with single-storey shapes and bulbous finishing strokes.

Best suited to headlines and short-to-medium passages where its strong stroke contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated—such as posters, editorial titles, book covers, and brand marks. It can also work for packaging and invitations where a classic, crafted voice is desired, while very small sizes may feel dense due to the heavy main strokes.

The overall tone is formal and old-world, with a warm, hand-drawn grace that suggests ink on paper. It reads as ceremonial and literary—confident and weighty—while the soft terminals keep it approachable rather than austere.

The design appears intended to translate broad-pen calligraphy into a robust display serif: expressive modulation, softened edges, and decorative flares that add character without connecting strokes. Its proportions and consistent stress suggest a focus on authoritative, traditional typography with a handmade finish.

The numerals follow the same calligraphic stress and flared endings, with lively curves and a slightly decorative stance. In text settings the strong modulation and wide letterforms create a rich, dark color and a pronounced rhythm that favors larger sizes.
