A refined serif with sculpted, flared stroke endings and clearly bracketed serifs that give stems a gently tapered, chiseled feel. Curves are broad and smooth, with moderate stroke modulation and crisp terminals that stay consistent across rounds like C, O, and G. Capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, while lowercase forms read traditional and bookish, with a two-storey a and g, compact bowls, and a balanced rhythm. Numerals are proportional and sturdy, matching the text color without appearing overly narrow or wide.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a traditional serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and identity systems that need a credible, established voice, and can carry premium packaging or labeling where subtle craft cues are beneficial.

The overall tone is classical and composed, evoking traditional publishing and institutional typography. Its flared detailing adds a touch of craftsmanship and gravitas, creating a confident, slightly ceremonial voice without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended to modernize a classical serif structure by using flared, sculptural endings and moderate contrast to create a distinctive yet highly legible texture. It aims for an authoritative, print-forward presence that stays versatile across text and display settings.

Diagonal letters (V, W, X, Y) show controlled, clean joins and stable stress, helping the face hold up in display sizes as well as text. The serifs and flares remain pronounced enough to give personality, but not so sharp or delicate that they look brittle in the sample text.
