A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, tapered terminals. Serifs are small and bracketed, with a distinctly calligraphic feel: strokes swell and taper smoothly, and joins are crisp rather than chunky. The italic construction is evident throughout, with flowing, slightly variable letter widths and a rhythmic forward motion. Lowercase forms show compact, controlled counters and a moderate x-height, while capitals are wide and gently sculpted with strong contrast and clean finishing strokes.

Well suited to editorial typography such as magazines, book interiors, and literary passages where an italic voice is needed for emphasis. It also works effectively for pull quotes, front matter, and formal stationery when a classic, polished tone is desired.

The overall tone is elegant and literary, combining traditional bookish manners with an energetic italic flourish. It feels refined and expressive without becoming decorative, lending text a poised, cultivated voice suited to classic and formal contexts.

Designed to provide a conventional, readable serif italic with a pronounced calligraphic stroke model and refined finishing details. The intent appears to balance tradition and expressiveness, delivering a distinctive italic texture that remains appropriate for extended text and editorial emphasis.

Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with graceful curves and narrow joins that match the text texture. In continuous setting the face produces a crisp, slightly sparkling color due to the contrast and sharp terminals, so spacing and line length will noticeably influence readability at smaller sizes.
