A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Hairlines are fine and delicate, while main stems and curves carry substantial weight, creating a strong vertical rhythm. Capitals show classical proportions with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W) and clean, sculpted curves (C, G, O, Q). Lowercase forms are compact and traditional, with a two-storey a and g, a narrow, slightly angled crossbar on e, and a slim, tapered t; punctuation and figures follow the same refined contrast, with oldstyle-like curves and small ball terminals visible in several numerals.

Well suited to editorial typography—magazines, essays, and book interiors—where its refined contrast can add authority and elegance. It also performs nicely in display roles such as headlines, pull quotes, and formal printed materials like invitations or programs, especially when set with generous leading and at sizes that protect the hairlines.

The overall tone is polished and bookish, with an upscale, editorial sensibility. Its delicate hairlines and poised serifs convey sophistication and formality, while the familiar, conventional structure keeps it readable and culturally “classic” rather than experimental.

The font appears designed to deliver a traditional, high-end serif voice with strong typographic contrast and classical proportions—aimed at conveying credibility, luxury, and literary seriousness in both text and display contexts.

The design leans on strong verticals and controlled curvature, giving lines of text a steady, composed texture. Spacing appears balanced in the sample setting, and the contrast is most striking at larger sizes where the thin strokes remain visibly sharp.
