A robust serif with sculpted, flared stroke endings and firmly bracketed serifs that create a carved, slightly calligraphic feel. Strokes show moderate contrast with swelling transitions into terminals, giving verticals a subtly tapered, chiseled silhouette rather than strictly uniform slabs. Counters are relatively compact and the fit is on the tight side, producing a dense texture in paragraphs. The lowercase uses a two-storey a and g, rounded bowls with strong joins, and wedge-like feet on letters such as r and t; numerals are sturdy and high-impact with oldstyle-like curvature in forms such as 2, 3, and 5.

Well-suited to headlines, titles, and pull quotes where its weight and sculpted terminals can carry personality. It also works for editorial and book-cover typography that benefits from a traditional serif voice, and for branding systems aiming for heritage, credibility, or institutional clarity.

The overall tone is authoritative and classic, with a bookish seriousness that reads as established and dependable. Its pronounced serifs and weighty rhythm add a slightly old-world, institutional character while staying direct and highly legible at display sizes.

The font appears designed to deliver a classic serif voice with added visual punch, using flared endings and sturdy proportions to remain impactful in display settings while retaining familiar text-seriffed structures.

The design maintains consistent flare behavior across caps, lowercase, and figures, which reinforces a cohesive, engraved look. Diagonal letters (V, W, X, Y) have strong, stable joins and broad terminals that keep the texture even, while round letters (O, Q, o) feel full and heavy, emphasizing presence in headlines.
