A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply tapered, bracketed serifs. Uppercase forms are broad and stately, with crisp terminals and smooth curves that keep counters open. The lowercase shows a sturdy, readable skeleton with moderate x-height, distinct joins, and slightly calligraphic shaping in letters like a, f, g, and y. Figures are lining and proportionally varied, with strong contrast and clear, old-style-inspired details that remain tidy in text.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is expected. The strong contrast and broad capitals also make it effective for display use—headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding—especially when paired with ample leading and margins.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and polish without feeling ornate. Its sharp contrast and confident serifs give it a cultured, bookish voice suited to serious writing and institutional communication. In larger sizes it reads as refined and classic, with a subtly dramatic rhythm in headlines.

Designed to deliver a familiar, trustworthy text-serif texture with elevated contrast and clean, contemporary finishing. The intent seems focused on balancing traditional proportions with crisp detail so it can move comfortably between body text and prominent editorial typography.

Spacing appears generous and even, helping the high-contrast strokes avoid clogging in dense settings. The italic is not shown; the roman emphasizes crisp edges and clear differentiation between similar shapes (for example I/l/1 and O/0 are visually distinct in this sample).
