This typeface is a high-contrast serif with bracketed, wedge-like serifs and gently modulated strokes that echo broad-nib calligraphy. Capitals feel stately and evenly proportioned, with a sharply peaked A and a distinctive, slightly calligraphic treatment in curves like C, G, and S. Lowercase shows an oldstyle rhythm with round, open bowls and a double-storey g that has a pronounced ear; joins and terminals stay crisp rather than soft. Figures are lining and relatively elegant, with strong thick–thin transitions and fine hairlines that keep the color bright on the page.

Well suited to books, essays, and magazine layouts where a traditional serif texture and clear hierarchy are desired. It also works for invitations, cultural branding, and display headings that benefit from a refined, classic voice, while remaining comfortable for paragraph settings in typical print and screen sizes.

The overall tone is classic and literary, suggesting traditional editorial typography and a sense of refinement. Its contrast and crisp details lend a formal, slightly ceremonial air, while the open forms keep it readable and composed rather than ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with a historical, oldstyle influence—prioritizing an even reading rhythm, familiar proportions, and a polished, high-contrast finish that can move between body copy and dignified headlines.

The spacing and silhouettes read balanced in text, with clear word shapes and tidy punctuation. The design’s fine hairlines and sharp serifs give it a polished look that will appear more delicate at smaller sizes than sturdier, lower-contrast serifs.
