A dark, assertive calligraphic roman with flared, wedge-like serifs and crisp, chiseled terminals. Strokes are sculptural and slightly irregular, with a carved feel: angled cuts, pointed joins, and subtle swelling that suggests broad-pen influence rather than pure geometric construction. Uppercase forms are compact and stately, while lowercase shows lively, uneven rhythm and noticeable variation in letter widths, giving text a textured, hand-shaped color. Counters tend to be relatively tight and the overall silhouette is spiky and faceted, especially in diagonals and curved joins.

Well suited to headlines and short text where its carved, old-world character can carry the design—posters, book covers, packaging, pub/tavern branding, and event graphics with historical or fantasy themes. It can work for pull quotes or brief passages at larger sizes, but is most effective as a display face rather than for dense body copy.

The tone is distinctly medieval and theatrical, evoking illuminated-manuscript headings, tavern signage, and fantasy world-building. Its rugged, cut-stone personality reads traditional and historic rather than refined, with a slightly mischievous storybook energy in continuous text.

The design appears intended to translate broad-pen calligraphy into a bold, incised roman that feels hand-made and historic. Its flared serifs and angular cuts emphasize a crafted, medieval atmosphere while remaining legible enough for dramatic titles and prominent editorial use.

Numerals and capitals share the same flared, incised vocabulary, keeping a cohesive display voice across mixed settings. In paragraphs the heavy color and angular detailing create strong presence; it reads best when given breathing room and adequate size to prevent the sharp interior shapes from filling in.
