A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and softly bracketed serifs. The forms are generously proportioned with a wide set and open counters, giving the alphabet a calm, horizontal rhythm. Curves are smooth and slightly calligraphic in feel, while terminals and serifs taper to fine points, especially noticeable on diagonals and the ends of S, C, and G. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with rounded bowls and elegant, slightly flared finishing strokes.

Well suited to editorial typography—book jackets, longform headlines, pull quotes, and magazine layouts—where its contrast and classic detailing can be appreciated. It can also work for formal materials such as programs or invitations, especially when set with ample leading and not pushed to very small sizes.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, suggesting established publishing and institutional contexts. Its refined contrast and tapered detailing read as polished and formal rather than utilitarian, lending a subtly old‑style, bookish character to paragraphs and display lines alike.

The design appears intended as a dependable, classic text serif with a more expansive footprint and refined contrast for elegant reading and display in publishing-oriented work.

In text, the wide spacing and open shapes keep lines airy, while the thin hairlines add sparkle at larger sizes. The lowercase shows clear, familiar constructions (two-storey a, single-storey g) and maintains a consistent, composed rhythm across mixed-case settings.
