A traditional serif with bracketed serifs, pronounced thick–thin modulation, and a steady upright stance. The capitals are stately and slightly wide, with sharp wedge-like terminals and clean, confident curves in round letters like C, O, and Q. Lowercase forms show oldstyle influences: a two-storey a, a compact e with a small eye, a looping g with a rounded lower bowl, and a gently angled, calligraphic feel in strokes and joins. Numerals sit comfortably with the text, mixing sturdy verticals with rounded bowls and crisp terminals for a coherent reading texture.

Well suited to long-form reading in books, magazines, and editorial layouts where a classic serif texture is desired. It also works effectively for academic or institutional materials, and for headings or pull quotes when set with ample spacing to showcase its contrast and crisp serifs.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, evoking established editorial typography and traditional print. Its high-contrast strokes and crisp serifs convey authority and formality, while the rounded, slightly calligraphic lowercase keeps it approachable for extended reading.

The design appears intended as a conventional, highly readable serif for print-like typography, balancing formal, high-contrast detailing with familiar text proportions. It prioritizes a traditional literary voice and a consistent, disciplined rhythm across capitals, lowercase, and figures.

In the text sample, the rhythm is even and the counters stay open enough for readability, with a distinctly traditional serif color on the page. The design leans toward editorial refinement rather than geometric precision, favoring humanist curves and subtly varied stroke endings that add texture at larger sizes.
