A conventional serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a clear, slightly calligraphic axis. Serifs are bracketed and tapered, with sharp, pointed terminals on many strokes (notably in the diagonals and arm ends), giving a crisp, engraved feel rather than a soft, rounded one. Capitals are stately and wide-set with strong vertical stems, while the lowercase maintains a traditional text rhythm with compact apertures and sturdy joins. Numerals follow the same high-contrast, old-style influenced drawing, keeping the overall texture dark and even in paragraph settings.

Well-suited for long-form book typography, essays, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It also works for headlines, title pages, and formal branding that benefits from a traditional, authoritative tone and crisp high-contrast detailing.

The overall tone is traditional and institutional, projecting authority and literary seriousness. Its sharp finishing details and high-contrast modeling add a refined, editorial flavor that reads as established and conservative rather than casual or playful.

The design appears intended as a conventional, readable serif that leans on classic book type proportions while adding sharp, refined terminals for a more distinguished presence. It aims to balance familiar text-setting rhythm with enough contrast and detail to hold up in prominent typographic roles.

In running text, the font creates a dense, confident color with distinct word shapes driven by clear serifs and strong vertical emphasis. The pointed finishing strokes and crisp curves make it especially impactful at display-to-text crossover sizes, where the contrast and detailing remain evident.
