This serif typeface shows strongly bracketed wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation, with crisp hairlines and fuller main strokes. Proportions feel traditionally bookish: capitals are stately with generous curves (notably in C, G, O, Q), while lowercase forms are open and readable with a two-storey a and g, and a gently angled, pointed ear on g. Terminals often taper into sharp, slightly calligraphic points, and the overall rhythm is even and composed, with moderate sidebearings and clear differentiation between glyphs. Numerals follow the same high-contrast construction, with elegant curves and fine joins that suit text and display settings alike.

It is well suited to book typography, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine text where a classical serif texture is desired. The sharp contrast and elegant caps also make it effective for headings, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from a traditional, print-forward voice.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, evoking traditional print typography and literary publishing. Its sharp, tapered details and measured contrast lend a sense of refinement and seriousness, while the rounded bowls keep it approachable for extended reading.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, high-contrast serif with a polished, print-classical character, balancing dignified capitals with readable, familiar lowercase forms for editorial versatility.

The italic is not shown, but the roman design leans on graceful curvature and tapered finishing rather than blunt terminals. Diacritic behavior and extended punctuation are not visible; within the shown set, letterforms maintain consistent contrast, serif treatment, and a cohesive, old-style reading texture.
