A high-contrast serif with sculpted, wedge-like serifs and softly bracketed joins that give strokes a subtly flared finish. Vertical stems read sturdy and upright while hairlines stay crisp, producing a lively thick–thin rhythm. The capitals are wide and stately with crisp diagonals (notably in A, V, W, X) and compact inner counters; the lowercase shows a traditional book face structure with a two-storey a and g, a small, tidy x-height, and clear, compact apertures. Numerals are old-style in feel with pronounced contrast and angled stress, matching the text color and cadence of the letters.

Well suited to book typography and long-form editorial where its traditional proportions and strong contrast create a refined reading texture at text sizes. It also performs convincingly for magazine headlines, section openers, and premium packaging or labeling where a classic, cultivated voice is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with an editorial seriousness that feels at home in print culture. Its sharp hairlines and flared finishing strokes add a hint of drama and craftsmanship, balancing refinement with a slightly emphatic, headline-ready presence.

The design appears intended to evoke a classical, print-oriented serif tradition while adding crisp, flared finishing strokes for extra articulation and presence. Its balanced proportions and consistent contrast suggest a focus on versatile, all-purpose editorial setting across both display and text contexts.

Spacing and fit appear even in the sample text, creating a dense, confident typographic color suited to continuous reading. Terminals and serifs stay consistent across rounds (C, G, O) and straights (E, H, N), supporting a cohesive, classical texture.
