This typeface is a high-contrast serif italic with sharp, bracketed wedge serifs and a pronounced rightward slant. Strokes show strong thick–thin modulation with tapered terminals and pointed joins that echo a broad-nib calligraphic construction. Counters are relatively open and the rhythm is lively, with diagonals and curves carrying much of the visual weight; proportions vary across letters, giving the line a subtly irregular, text-like cadence rather than a rigidly uniform texture. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic with angled forms and tapered ends that keep them visually consistent alongside the letters.

Well-suited for editorial settings such as magazine features, pull quotes, and subheads where an italic voice is needed with a classic serif character. It can also work effectively for book typography as an emphasis style, and for formal materials like invitations or programs where a refined, traditional tone is desired.

The overall tone feels traditional and cultivated, projecting a sense of refinement associated with books, editorial typography, and formal correspondence. Its energetic italic motion adds elegance and emphasis, lending a slightly dramatic, literary voice to headlines and highlighted passages.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic with heightened contrast and a calligraphic sensibility, providing an elegant companion for emphasis and display within classic typography systems.

In longer text, the strong contrast and sharp details create a crisp, sparkling texture, especially where narrow hairlines meet robust stems. The italic forms are expressive without becoming overly decorative, balancing readability with a distinctive, calligraphic flair.
