A refined serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp hairlines that give it a distinctly polished, high-contrast texture. Serifs are small and sharp with a mostly modern, lightly bracketed feel, while stroke endings stay clean and controlled rather than calligraphically soft. Proportions read as generously set with ample sidebearings, producing an open rhythm in text and clear letter separation. Uppercase forms are stately and balanced, and the lowercase shows a traditional book-face structure with a moderate x-height and clear ascenders/descenders. Figures appear lining and similarly high-contrast, with a noticeable diagonal stress in some curves and an elegant, slightly stylized ‘2’ and ‘3’.

Well-suited to magazine and editorial settings where high-contrast serifs signal refinement, particularly for headlines, pull quotes, and deck copy. It can also work effectively for book covers and formal print materials such as invitations or programs, where its sharp hairlines and polished serifs can be showcased at larger sizes.

The overall tone is poised and upscale, leaning toward editorial sophistication rather than utilitarian neutrality. Its sharp contrast and fine details convey a sense of luxury and formality, while the steady, conventional skeleton keeps it rooted in classic publishing traditions.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic, high-end reading and display voice by pairing a traditional serif structure with heightened contrast and meticulous terminals. It aims for an editorial “fashion and culture” sensibility—clean, controlled, and confident—while maintaining familiar, conventional letterforms for broad typographic compatibility.

In continuous text the bright, hairline joins and thin cross-strokes create a lively sparkle, especially at larger sizes. The design favors crispness and definition in curves (notably in bowls and the ‘Q’ tail), giving headlines a distinctive, tailored presence without feeling ornate.
