A heavy, rough-edged serif with irregular contours that mimic worn metal type or over-inked letterpress. Strokes appear uneven and slightly lumpy, with frequent nicks, pits, and ragged terminals that create a deckled silhouette. Proportions are fairly compact with sturdy stems, small bracket-like serif hints, and rounded counters that often feel partially eroded. Spacing and sidebearings look moderately tight, producing dense word shapes and a strong, poster-like color on the page.

Best suited to display settings where texture is an asset: posters, headlines, album or book covers, packaging, and retro-inspired labels. It can work for short bursts of text such as pull quotes or section headers, but the heavy distressing is likely to reduce comfort and clarity in long passages or small UI text.

The font conveys a gritty, timeworn character—like aged print, stamped labels, or distressed signage. Its texture reads as tactile and imperfect, evoking analog ink, rough paper, and archival ephemera rather than clean digital typesetting.

The design appears intended to simulate aged, imperfect printing—capturing the look of distressed letterpress or stamped typography with intentionally degraded edges and uneven ink coverage. The goal is strong presence and atmosphere rather than pristine legibility.

The distress pattern is consistent across caps, lowercase, and numerals, giving a unified “printed-through-wear” texture. At smaller sizes the interior erosion and broken edges can visually fill in, while at larger sizes the irregularities become a defining graphic feature.
