A high-contrast serif with crisp, finely tapered hairlines and sturdy vertical stems, creating a sharp light–dark rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and neatly cut, with pointed, triangular moments on letters like A, V, W, and Y, and smooth, controlled curves on C, G, O, and Q. The lowercase shows a traditional, readable build with a two-storey a and g, compact bowls, and firm terminals; the overall spacing feels balanced and intended for continuous text. Numerals follow the same contrast logic, with open counters and clear, sculpted forms that align well with the capitals.

Well suited to magazine and newspaper-style typography, book interiors, and long-form editorial work where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs strongly in headlines, pull quotes, and brand systems that want an upscale, traditional impression with pronounced contrast.

The tone is polished and literary, projecting a sense of tradition and authority. Its dramatic contrast and sharp detailing also add a fashionable, editorial edge suited to sophisticated layouts.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, highly legible text serif with elevated contrast for a more luxurious page color. It balances classic proportions with crisp detailing to serve both immersive reading and attention-grabbing display settings.

In larger sizes, the hairlines and delicate joins read as precise and luxurious; in smaller settings, those fine details may require adequate rendering and print conditions to stay crisp. The family’s forms lean toward a classical book-serifs feel with a slightly sharpened, contemporary finish in the terminals and apexes.
