A high-contrast serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation throughout. The capitals are stately and slightly wide with sharp terminals and clean, vertical stress; curves (C, G, O, Q) show taut construction and decisive entry/exit strokes. Lowercase forms balance sturdy stems with tapered joins, featuring a compact double-storey “g” and “a,” a pointed, beaked “f,” and a narrow, upright “t.” Figures are lining and elegant, with strong contrast and distinctive curvature (notably in 2, 3, 5, and 9), giving the numerals a formal, bookish tone.

This typeface is well-suited to book typography, long-form editorial layouts, and magazine design where a classic serif voice is desired. It also performs well for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding that benefits from sharp serifs and a traditional, cultivated tone.

The overall tone is traditional and composed, conveying editorial authority and a polished, institutional feel. Its sharp serifs and confident contrast read as dignified and slightly dramatic, suited to classic publishing aesthetics rather than casual or utilitarian voice.

The design appears intended as a conventional, publication-oriented serif that combines classic proportions with crisp, high-contrast detailing. It aims to deliver a familiar literary presence while adding visual snap through tapered terminals and assertive serif shapes.

In the text sample, the rhythm is lively due to the contrast and pointed terminals, producing crisp word shapes and clear differentiation between strokes. Spacing appears comfortable at display-to-text sizes, while the high contrast suggests it will look most confident with adequate size and printing or rendering quality.
