This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin contrast with crisp hairlines and firm, bracketed wedge serifs. Curves are smooth and taut, with vertical stress that gives the letters a stately, upright posture. Capitals feel dignified and well-proportioned, while the lowercase features clear, traditional shapes (notably a two-storey “a” and “g”), compact joins, and tapered terminals that sharpen the overall texture. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, balancing sturdy stems with fine finishing strokes for a polished, print-like rhythm.

Well-suited to book typography, editorial layouts, and print-oriented design where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also work effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and branding that benefits from a refined, traditional tone, especially at display sizes where the contrast and sharp terminals can be appreciated.

The overall tone is classic and formal, with an editorial elegance that reads as traditional and trustworthy. Its sharp finishing details and high contrast add refinement and a slightly dramatic, literary presence without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, authoritative serif with elevated contrast and crisp detailing, balancing readability with a polished, premium texture for editorial and formal communication.

In text, the face creates a strong light–dark pattern, with hairlines that appear delicate next to the heavier verticals. The serifs and terminals stay consistent across the set, supporting a cohesive, conventional text color while still offering a crisp, high-end edge in larger sizes.
