A sturdy slab serif with broad proportions, moderate stroke contrast, and firmly grounded, rectangular serifs. Stems and horizontals read as solid and even, with subtle bracketing where strokes meet the slabs, giving the letters a slightly softened transition rather than a purely mechanical join. Counters are open and fairly large, and the overall rhythm feels spacious, aided by generous sidebearings and a clear, even color in text. Terminals and joins keep a squared-off sensibility, while curves (notably in bowls and the S) remain smooth and controlled, balancing solidity with readability.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a stable, high-legibility serif is desired. The broad proportions and strong serifs also make it effective for headlines, subheads, and packaging or branding applications that benefit from a solid, trustworthy voice.

The font conveys a confident, editorial tone—serious and dependable, with a classic print sensibility. Its slab structure adds emphasis and authority without tipping into display novelty, making it feel composed, legible, and slightly formal.

The design appears intended to deliver a durable, print-oriented slab serif for text and editorial typography, combining strong slabs with restrained contrast and open counters to keep paragraphs readable while adding a confident presence.

Capitals have a stately presence with strong horizontals and clear differentiation between similar forms, while the lowercase maintains a straightforward, text-forward construction. Numerals appear robust and highly readable, matching the letterforms’ steady weight and generous internal space.
