A high-contrast serif with crisp, tapered strokes and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Serifs are bracketed and often flare subtly into the terminals, giving stems a slightly sculpted, calligraphic finish rather than a blunt cut. Capitals are stately and narrow-to-moderate in proportion with sharp apexes and clean, vertical sides, while lowercase forms show compact bowls and decisive joins; the two-storey a and g and the slightly ear-like terminals contribute to a traditional texture. Numerals and punctuation follow the same bright, sharply defined rhythm, with smooth curves and finely tapered entry/exit strokes.

Well-suited to long-form reading and editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, such as books, essays, and magazine features. It can also serve well for refined headings, pull quotes, and formal collateral where contrast and sharp detailing help establish a premium tone.

The overall tone is classical and formal, with a bookish, editorial polish. Its contrast and tapered endings convey refinement and authority, leaning toward traditional print aesthetics rather than casual or utilitarian styling.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional, print-forward reading experience with elegant contrast and subtly flared finishing strokes. It balances disciplined structure with calligraphic nuance to create a sophisticated, timeless serif for editorial and literary settings.

In text, the type produces a lively, slightly sparkling page color: heavy verticals anchor the line while hairlines and tapered terminals add finesse. The rhythm is even but expressive, with small details (like curled or teardrop-like terminals on some lowercase) lending a mildly ornate, old-style flavor without becoming decorative.
