This is a right-leaning serif with pronounced thick–thin contrast and crisp, bracketed wedge serifs. Strokes show a calligraphic modulation: broad, weighty verticals and tapered joins, with pointed terminals and sharp apexes in letters like A, V, and W. The lowercase has a traditionally proportioned, text-oriented build with a moderate x-height, compact bowls, and lively entry/exit strokes; the italic construction is evident in the single-storey a and g and the flowing, angled rhythm across words. Numerals follow the same high-contrast, serifed style and appear slightly varied in width, with distinctive curved forms and tapered terminals.

It suits editorial layouts, book typography, and long-form reading where a traditional italic serif voice is appropriate. The strong contrast and distinctive italic forms also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and formal announcements where a refined, classical tone is desired.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, evoking book typography and editorial tradition. Its energetic italic slant and sharp detailing add a sense of sophistication and motion, making it feel formal without becoming rigid.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, text-oriented serif italic with a pronounced calligraphic character and clear, traditional letterforms. It prioritizes elegance and typographic authority through high contrast, sharp serifs, and a lively slanted rhythm.

Spacing and rhythm read as deliberate and text-centric, with strong internal white shapes that stay clear even under heavy contrast. The italics maintain consistent stress and serif treatment across caps, lowercase, and figures, giving the face a cohesive, authoritative voice.
