This is a high-contrast serif with bracketed serifs and a traditional, bookish construction. Strokes show clear modulation with diagonal stress, pairing crisp hairlines with more robust stems and gently flared terminals. Proportions feel moderately wide with generous sidebearings, giving the letters room to breathe in text. The lowercase shows an oldstyle lean in its forms (notably the two-storey a and g), with smooth curves, open apertures, and a steady baseline rhythm; capitals are stately and slightly narrower in feel, with clean joins and restrained ornament.

It suits book typography, editorial layouts, and other longform reading contexts where a familiar serif voice and clean rhythm are desired. The contrast and crisp detailing also make it effective for pull quotes, section heads, and refined print collateral when set with appropriate size and spacing.

The tone is classic and cultivated, evoking printed literature and established editorial typography. It reads as confident and formal without becoming overly ornate, balancing refinement with everyday usability in longer passages.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif with a polished, print-oriented texture—combining traditional oldstyle cues in the lowercase with a composed, editorial presence in capitals and numerals.

Figures appear lining with strong contrast and traditional shaping, including an oldstyle-style 4 and a curved 2/3 that match the serifed text color. In running text, the italic is not shown; the roman maintains a consistent texture, with sharp, elegant hairlines that will benefit from comfortable sizes and adequate line spacing.
