This serif face uses pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp, tapered strokes and flared, wedge-like terminals that read as softer than straight slabs but sharper than bracketed book serifs. Curves are generous and slightly sculpted, while many joins finish in pointed, triangular spurs that give letters a cut-from-ink feel. Capitals are stately and relatively wide, with strong verticals and compact cross-strokes, and the overall rhythm alternates between firm stems and hairline connections. The lowercase shows a traditional serif construction with a two-storey “g,” a slender “f,” and a lightly earred “g”/“r” vocabulary; numerals follow the same contrasty, tapered logic and include lively diagonals and small wedge endings.

It suits magazine and editorial headlines, book covers, cultural posters, and brand identities that want a classic but distinctive serif with bite. It can also work for pull quotes and short, high-impact text where its contrast and flared terminals can be appreciated.

The tone is polished and literary, with a fashion/editorial sharpness that adds drama without feeling ornamental. Its crisp hairlines and flared endings evoke classic print sophistication and a confident, high-end voice.

The likely intention is to reinterpret traditional serif proportions with a more expressive, flared finishing and calligraphic tapering, yielding a refined display voice that still remains readable in short passages. The design aims to balance classical letterform familiarity with a sharper, more contemporary editorial edge.

The design’s defining signature is the consistent flare at stroke endings and the pointed, calligraphic finishing on diagonals and curves, which creates a slightly theatrical sparkle at large sizes. In text, the strong contrast and fine linking strokes make it feel best when given comfortable size and spacing, especially in display and headline settings.
