Strokes alternate between thick, solid stems and extremely fine hairlines, with sharp, tapered terminals and delicate bracketed serifs that stay light even on heavier parts of the forms. Capitals are stately and crisp, with smooth curves on C/G/O and a pointed, calligraphic feel in diagonals like V/W/X. Lowercase shows a traditional book-face structure with a two-storey a and g, narrow joins, and rounded bowls that keep counters open despite the contrast; numerals follow the same dramatic thick–thin rhythm, with teardrop-like endings on figures such as 2 and 3.
