A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced rightward slant and a distinctly calligraphic construction. Stems and bowls show strong thick–thin modulation with tapered joins, while serifs are crisp and often softly bracketted, producing sharp entry/exit terminals. Proportions feel expansive with generous set-widths and open counters; rounded forms are broad and smooth, and diagonals (as in V/W/X) sweep with a controlled, pen-like rhythm. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic, with curved figures (notably 3/5/8/9) emphasizing flowing terminals and elegant stress.

This face is well suited to editorial headlines, magazine feature typography, and book or journal display settings where an elegant italic voice is desirable. It can also work for pull quotes, titles, and formal invitations, especially when set with ample leading to let the sweeping forms breathe.

The tone is formal and literary, combining old-style elegance with a slightly theatrical italic swagger. Its contrast and sweeping shapes create a sense of sophistication and motion, suited to expressive, polished typography rather than purely utilitarian setting.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif reading voice filtered through a dramatic, calligraphic italic, prioritizing grace, contrast, and a confident rhythm on the page.

The italic is assertive enough to read as a primary style rather than a companion italic, with consistent slanted axis across capitals, lowercase, and figures. The wide footprint and strong contrast make spacing and line breaks visually prominent, favoring larger sizes and airy layouts.
