This typeface uses a blackletter construction with tightly drawn, angular forms and pronounced broken strokes. Stems are tall and relatively compressed, with sharp, triangular serifs and spur-like terminals that create a jagged rhythm along baselines and caps. Many letters show faceted joins and wedge-shaped counters, giving the alphabet a dense, chiseled texture; round characters are rendered as segmented, polygonal bowls rather than smooth curves. Capitals are more embellished than the lowercase, with stronger interior notches and more dramatic diagonal cuts, while numerals follow the same pointed, calligraphic logic.

Best suited for display work where the detailed blackletter texture can be appreciated: headlines, posters, packaging accents, band or album titling, and event branding. It can also work for short ceremonial phrases (certificates, invitations, signage), while long passages and small sizes may require generous tracking and line spacing for clarity.

The overall tone is historic and ceremonial, evoking manuscript lettering, heraldic titles, and ecclesiastical or courtly signage. Its sharp cuts and compact color feel authoritative and theatrical, with a slightly menacing edge typical of gothic display lettering.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic gothic manuscript voice with crisp, blade-like articulation and a compact footprint, prioritizing strong historical character and dramatic presence in titling and emblematic applications.

In text settings the repeated vertical strokes create a strong dark band, and the compact shapes emphasize texture over quick letter recognition. The ampersand is especially decorative, and several glyphs feature distinctive hooked or blade-like terminals that read well at larger sizes.
