A calligraphic, script-like roman with a consistent rightward slant and very high stroke contrast between hairlines and swollen downstrokes. Letterforms are loosely connected in feel but largely unjoined, with looping terminals, occasional entry/exit swashes, and a variable, lively baseline rhythm. Edges show deliberate texture and irregularity, like ink catching on rough paper or worn print, producing slight breakups and dark spots in the heavier strokes. Proportions are compact with tall ascenders/descenders relative to the x-height, and figures echo the same flowing, pen-drawn contrast and tapered endings.

Best suited to short display settings where the textured contrast and swashy motion can be appreciated—titles, logotypes, chapter heads, posters, packaging, and atmospheric branding. It can work for pull quotes or short lines of text at generous sizes, but the fine hairlines and distressed details call for adequate scale and contrast.

The overall tone is theatrical and antique, mixing elegance with a slightly eerie, hand-inked roughness. Its lively irregularity reads as crafted and expressive rather than mechanical, evoking old labels, spellbook titles, and period ephemera.

The design appears intended to emulate expressive pen lettering with an aged, imperfect print finish—combining refined calligraphic modulation with purposeful wear to add character and mood.

Caps are especially gestural, with exaggerated curves and occasional flourished joins, while lowercase maintains a lighter, more linear rhythm. The texture is most visible where thick strokes pool, creating a mottled, distressed color that becomes a defining part of the font’s personality.
