This serif has crisp, bracketed serifs and strongly modulated strokes, with thick verticals and notably finer hairlines. Curves are smooth and slightly flattened at the extremes, giving bowls and counters a refined, sculpted feel. Capitals are stately and proportioned for display clarity, while the lowercase shows traditional book-face structure with a two-storey a and g, sturdy stems, and compact, well-contained counters. Numerals appear lining and robust, matching the capital rhythm and contrast without looking overly condensed or wide.

It works especially well for book and magazine headlines, cover typography, and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong contrast and crisp serifs favor larger sizes for maximum elegance, while the conventional lowercase structure supports extended reading in well-set text.

The overall tone is classical and dignified, with a distinctly editorial voice that reads as trustworthy and established. Its high contrast and sharp finishing details add a sense of formality and polish, lending an upscale, literary character to headings and prominent text.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literature-oriented serif with elevated contrast and crisp finishing, balancing traditional text-face proportions with enough drama for editorial display use.

The font’s contrast and fine terminals create a lively light–dark rhythm, especially in larger sizes, while maintaining a steady baseline and consistent serif treatment across the set. The lowercase maintains a traditional, readable texture, and the capitals feel suited to emphatic settings without becoming overly ornamental.
