A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced diagonal axis and sharply tapered hairlines against robust stems. Serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, with crisp terminals that create a lively, engraved feel. Uppercase forms are stately and slightly condensed in presence, while the lowercase shows more calligraphic motion, including expressive entry/exit strokes and a two-storey ‘g’. Numerals follow the same contrast and slant, with distinctive, sharply cut forms that read best at display and larger text sizes.

This face suits editorial typography such as magazine headlines, pull quotes, and book or journal covers where contrast and elegance are desirable. It also works well for branding, packaging, and formal collateral that benefits from a classic italic voice, especially in short to medium-length text at larger sizes.

The overall tone is refined and traditional, with a confident, editorial voice. Its energetic slant and sharp detailing add drama and sophistication, suggesting classic publishing, formal invitations, and heritage branding rather than utilitarian UI text.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with an elevated, calligraphic italic character—balancing readability with a more dramatic, cultivated texture. It emphasizes sharp contrast and stylish terminals to convey polish and authority in display-led applications.

Rhythm is driven by strong thick–thin modulation and pointed joins, producing a crisp texture in paragraphs. The italic construction feels intentional rather than merely oblique, with consistent stress and a cohesive set of swashy details (notably in ‘Q’, ‘j’, and ‘y’) that increase personality.
