This typeface is a slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp hairlines. Serifs are finely bracketed and tapered, with a generally calligraphic construction that shows in the curved entries and exits and the sweeping terminals. Proportions are on the condensed side with tall capitals and relatively compact lowercase, producing a tight, vertical rhythm. The italic angle is consistent across letters and numerals, and counters stay fairly open despite the delicate joining strokes and thin crossbars.

It performs best in editorial and literary typography such as magazines, book interiors, and pull quotes, where its crisp contrast and slanted rhythm can add character. It can also work well for elegant branding, invitations, and headings that need a classic, cultivated voice, especially when given generous line spacing to preserve clarity.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, with a distinctly literary, editorial feel. Its high-contrast strokes and graceful italic forms suggest sophistication and formality rather than utilitarian neutrality. The texture on the page reads as poised and upscale, suited to settings where elegance and tradition are desirable.

The design appears intended as a conventional text-serif italic that brings classical elegance and a measured, calligraphic rhythm to continuous reading. It prioritizes refinement and typographic color over ruggedness, aiming to convey tradition and sophistication in editorial settings.

Capitals show classical inscriptional influence in their proportions, while the lowercase leans more handwritten, creating a refined contrast between formal structure and fluid movement. Numerals follow the same italic, high-contrast logic and appear designed to sit comfortably in running text.
