A high-contrast serif with strongly modeled strokes and tapered, flared terminals that give stems a sculpted, ink-trap-free look. Serifs are bracketed and wedge-like, producing sharp, triangular accents at joins and endings rather than flat slabs. Counters are generous and mostly oval, with pronounced thick–thin modulation across curves (notably in C, O, Q, and S). The lowercase shows compact, sturdy forms with a two-storey a and g, a short-armed t, and a prominent rightward ear on g; overall spacing feels firm and headline-oriented, with relatively tight sidebearings and a steady vertical rhythm.

Best suited to display sizes such as headlines, magazine titles, book covers, and poster typography where the strong contrast and flared finishing can be appreciated. It can also support branding and packaging that seeks a classic, authoritative tone, especially when set with ample leading to keep the dense texture from feeling heavy.

The font conveys a traditional, editorial seriousness with a touch of theatrical contrast. Its carved, flaring details read as formal and established, suggesting prestige and authority while remaining lively due to the strong modulation and crisp edges.

The design appears intended to blend classical serif structure with a more sculptural, flared finish, creating a refined display face that feels both traditional and energetically drawn. Emphasis is placed on dramatic contrast, crisp terminals, and a confident typographic color for editorial and identity settings.

Capitals appear stately with wide, open bowls and decisive serifs, while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) end in sharp, tapered points that amplify the dramatic texture. Numerals are robust and high-contrast, with a distinctive 2 and 3 featuring pronounced terminals and a compact, weighty 8.
