A condensed, high-contrast serif with a distressed, rough-printed surface. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin transitions and irregular, chipped edges that create a dark, blotty color in heavier parts and occasional pinholes or frayed counters. The letterforms keep an upright, broadly traditional skeleton, but terminals and serifs are jagged and inconsistent, giving the set a handmade, worn impression. Spacing and widths vary slightly across glyphs, adding to the irregular rhythm, and the lowercase appears compact with a relatively small x-height and prominent ascenders.
