A slanted serif with crisp, bracketed serifs and a gently calligraphic construction. Strokes show clear modulation with diagonal stress, giving curves a smooth, carved feel while keeping stems relatively clean and upright in rhythm. Proportions are traditional and text-oriented: moderate ascenders/descenders, open apertures, and rounded bowls that maintain clarity at reading sizes. The italics are distinctly drawn rather than simply obliqued, with fluid entry/exit strokes, a single-storey “a,” and an expressive “f” that extends with a graceful crossbar. Numerals appear oldstyle, blending with lowercase texture and supporting continuous text color.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where an italic serif texture is desired for continuous text. It can also serve in refined front matter, pull quotes, and formal stationery where a traditional, literary voice is appropriate.

The overall tone is bookish and cultivated, with a gentle elegance that suggests editorial seriousness rather than display theatrics. Its slant and stroke modulation add warmth and motion, while the restrained detailing keeps it composed and professional.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional, highly readable serif italic for text composition, balancing classical proportions with subtle calligraphic energy. Characterful italics and oldstyle numerals suggest a focus on comfortable, integrated typography in running text.

The capitals are slightly narrow and poised, with tapered terminals and controlled curves that avoid excessive ornament. Lowercase spacing looks even and readable in paragraphs, producing a calm, consistent gray with just enough liveliness from the italic shapes. The “Q” and “J” show distinctive, sweeping strokes that add character without disrupting the text texture.
