A high-contrast serif with strongly tapered, slightly flared stroke endings and crisp, triangular serifs. The letterforms show calligraphic modulation with pronounced thick–thin transitions and rounded bowls, while joins and terminals stay clean and sharp. Proportions feel traditionally bookish: moderate x-height, sturdy verticals, and a rhythm that balances wide round letters (C, O, Q) with tighter forms (E, F, T). Numerals and capitals are sturdy and legible, with details like the angled leg of R and a neatly integrated Q tail reinforcing a refined, classical construction.

Well-suited to book typography, long-form editorial, and magazine layouts where a classic serif voice is desired. It can also serve effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from strong contrast and crisp detailing.

The font conveys a formal, traditional tone with a measured, editorial confidence. Its sharp serifs and elegant contrast add a hint of ceremony, making it feel established and authoritative rather than casual or playful.

The design appears intended to modernize a traditional, calligraphic serif model by emphasizing sharp, flared endings and confident contrast while keeping text rhythm stable. It aims for a familiar literary feel with enough edge in the serifs and terminals to read as contemporary in display settings.

Spacing and color appear even in text, with clear word shapes and distinct character silhouettes. The lowercase shows a classic two-storey g and strong, bracketed transitions in letters like n and m, supporting readability while keeping a polished, engraved-like finish.
