This typeface is a bold, high-contrast italic with sharply tapered serifs and flared stroke endings that read as carved and calligraphic rather than mechanical. Strokes show a pronounced diagonal stress, with thin hairlines that snap into thick trunks, creating an energetic light–dark rhythm. Letterforms are compact and strongly slanted, with bracketed joins, crisp terminals, and occasional wedge-like feet; counters stay fairly open despite the weight. The lowercase has a traditional, two-storey structure where expected (notably in the “a”), while ascenders and diagonals contribute to a lively, forward-driving texture in words and lines.

Best suited to headlines, deck copy, and other short-to-medium runs where its contrast and italic motion can be appreciated. It works especially well for magazine design, book covers, cultural branding, and posters that benefit from a classic yet punchy serif italic with strong presence.

The overall tone is expressive and assertive—formal enough for classic editorial settings, yet dramatic and stylish in display sizes. Its steep italic angle and high-contrast cut give it a theatrical, fashion-forward flavor that still feels rooted in bookish tradition.

The design appears intended to deliver a bold, elegant italic for impactful typography—combining traditional serif construction with flared, calligraphy-informed stroke endings to create a refined but attention-commanding voice.

At larger sizes the thin connections and hairlines become a defining feature, adding sparkle and refinement, while the heavy stems keep the page color strong and attention-grabbing. The numerals follow the same swashy, high-contrast logic, reinforcing a cohesive, emphatic voice in headings and pull quotes.
