This serif shows a balanced, bookish construction with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp hairlines. Serifs are bracketed and finely tapered, with sharp terminals and a controlled, slightly calligraphic stroke flow. Uppercase forms are stately and open, while lowercase has compact, readable shapes and a moderate rhythm suited to continuous text. Curves are smooth and well-tensioned (notably in C, S, and the bowls), and overall spacing feels even, giving the face a clean, composed color on the page.

It is well-suited to long-form reading in books, journals, and magazine layouts where a refined serif texture is desired. The clear uppercase makes it useful for headings and titling at larger sizes, while the steady lowercase rhythm supports paragraphs, captions, and other editorial typography.

The overall tone is polished and traditional, with an editorial seriousness that reads as cultured and dependable. Its contrast and fine finishing details lend a sense of sophistication, making it feel appropriate for literary, academic, or premium brand contexts without becoming ornate.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with elevated finishing: strong contrast, neat bracketing, and carefully shaped curves create a classic reading face that also carries enough elegance for display use in editorial settings.

The italic is not shown; all samples appear roman. Numerals share the same contrast and refinement as the letters, with elegant curves and slender joins; the 1 is simple and vertical, while 2, 3, and 5 show more calligraphic curvature. The Q features a distinctive, sweeping tail that adds character without disrupting the otherwise restrained system.
