A classic serif with crisp, bracketed wedge serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation. The capitals are stately and evenly proportioned, with clean, tapered terminals and a slightly calligraphic stress visible in rounded forms. Lowercase shapes lean oldstyle in flavor, with a two-storey “g,” a gently angled ear on “g,” and a single-storey “a,” plus compact joins and well-defined apertures. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and sturdy verticals that hold up at text sizes.

Well-suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts, where the contrast and bracketing create a polished texture. It also works effectively for headlines, pull quotes, and institutional or corporate communications that benefit from a classic, authoritative serif voice.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, suggesting book typography, institutional materials, and refined editorial use. Its sharp serifs and decisive contrast give it a formal voice without feeling overly decorative, lending a sense of credibility and craft.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-quality text serif that balances elegance with clarity. Its letterforms prioritize disciplined proportions, strong serif structure, and a familiar reading rhythm, aiming for dependable performance in print-like typography and formal communication.

Rhythm is steady and text-friendly, with clear differentiation between similar letters (notably the strong top serif on “I” and the distinct “J” descender). Curved letters like “C,” “G,” and “S” show smooth, controlled modulation, while diagonals in “V,” “W,” and “X” remain crisp and stable, supporting both display lines and continuous reading.
